LYNCH - The Nebraska Department of Economic Development has announced the recipients of a $3 million in disaster recovery funds from the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust, and $500,000 of that money will be going to Lynch.

In response to the March floods, Governor Pete Ricketts directed State departments to strategize for the deployment of resources to assist affected areas.

Planned projects span from demolishing and rebuilding homes outside the flood plain to rehabilitating homes, building new units and assisting families with down payments on new homes.

Other areas of the state receiving funding are Pierce County and the City of Wood River.
