BROKEN BOW - A trial date has been set for Broken Bow Mayor Jonathon Berghorst in Custer County Court after a progression conference was held on Monday.

Berghorst, alongside his attorney Christopher Wickham, appeared in court as Berghorst is facing charges of alleged 3rd degree assault and oppression under color of office.

The charges were brought against Berghorst by the Attorney General’s office which is being represented by Zachary Blackman.

Judge Tami Schendt set the case for a 2-day trial on December 12th to the 13th.

A deadline for discovery, pre-trial motions, and special jury instructions was set for November 1st.
