Street Closure Begins Next Week For Viaduct Construction

As construction of the 12th Avenue viaduct ramps up, a portion of a street will be permanently closed starting next week.

COLUMBUS - As construction of the 12th Avenue viaduct ramps up, a portion of a street will be permanently closed starting next week.

The City of Columbus days that the construction of the viaduct requires the permanent through access closure of 11th Street between 12th and 13th Avenues. The closure is scheduled for Monday, August 26th.

The City says that local access to adjacent properties in this segment will be maintained. Drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists are encouraged to use extreme caution in and around the construction zone as the 12th Avenue viaduct project continues.

The project is scheduled for substantial completion by the end of 2020.
