PLYMOUTH - Palmer-Wolbach-Greeley starting pitcher Karsen Reimers threw six shutout innings, stuck out nine and gave up only one hit in a complete game win over Syracuse, 7-0, Tuesday at the Class C State Tournament in Plymouth.
Syracuse's lone hit came from Micah Harvey.
Ty Nekoliczak led the Blue Ducks by going 2-4 with a double, two RBI's and a run scored. They finished with 11 total hits.
Cooper Carlson took the loss for the Post 100 Juniors. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on 11 hits and striking out six.
PWG is the only remaining unbeaten team left in the tournament and will try to eliminate Louisville/Weeping Water at 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday).
Syracuse faces elimination vs. Tekamah at 5 p.m. today.
Louisville/Weeping Water 6, Shelton-Gibbon 0: Avery Heath tossed a complete-game shutout. The LWW starting pitcher limited Shelton-Gibbon to just four hits. Brayden Powell went 2-3 with an RBI and two runs score.
