A Nebraska State Patrol Trooper is dead after a traffic accident in Western Nebraska.

MORRILL COUNTY - A Nebraska State Patrol Trooper is dead after a traffic accident in Western Nebraska.

In a twitter post from the State Patrol Thursday morning, authorities say the trooper was killed in a crash while on duty in Morrill County.

The details around the crash have not been released.
