NORFOLK – Over 400 runners representing 13 different states participated in the 2018 Laugh-and-a-half-marathon on Saturday, June 15 on the Cowboy Trail in Norfolk, Nebraska. The event consisted of a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, and a 1-mile kid’s fun run race.

 

$100 in prize money and a winner's trophy was awarded to overall male winner Cory Logsdon of Omaha, Nebraska, and female half-marathon winner, Elizabeth Berry of Lincoln, Nebraska. All half-marathon finishers receiving special finisher medals custom created by Norfolk Iron and Metal.

 

Event sponsors, Faith Regional Health Services and The New 94 Rock, have partnered to promote wellness and ensure funds raised through the event support pediatric needs in northeast Nebraska. All funds raised during this year’s event will go toward the purchase of Adaptive Trikes for patients in the Thera-Play Center at Faith Regional Health Services.
