FREMONT, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) - One person was killed and another was critically injured Thursday at the Costco chicken plant that is under construction in Fremont.
Captain Jamie Meyer from Fremont Fire and Rescue says personnel were called to the plant under construction on East Cloverly Road around 9:30 A-M.
A medical helicopter transported the injured worker to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy in Omaha.
Meyer says the incident involved a fall from a scissors lift. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called to the scene.
