GORDON, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) - A Nebraska senator is dismissing talk that he might challenge U.S. Senator Ben Sasse in the 2020 Republican Primary.
Senator Tom Brewer Tuesday told the Scottsbluff Star-Herald that he has no plans to run in 2020.
Chatter of Brewer's potential candidacy began after a recent meeting in White House initiated by a member of the president's staff.
Brewer was a candidate for Congress in 2014 when he sought the House seat held by Republican Representative Adrian Smith but he told the Star-Herald that he's much happier to be in the State Legislature now after being elected to a four-year term in 2016.
