Wymore Man Receives Prison, for Convictions in Three Criminal Cases

BEATRICE - A Wymore man will serve three-years in state prison for criminal convictions in three cases, partly related to burglaries of cell phone tower property.
29-year-old Trevor Hurley was sentenced by Gage County District Judge Rick Schreiner and is awaiting resolution of a similar case in Jefferson County.

Hurley was convicted of drug possession, resisting arrest, obstruction, attempted burglary, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of burglar tools.
Earlier Wednesday, he was sentenced for a Saline County criminal case, to 18 months in prison and 18 months of post-release supervision. He is also scheduled to be sentenced in a Jefferson County criminal case, on Thursday.
The Gage County sentences will begin after the Saline County sentence. Following prison, Hurley will be on post-release supervision.
U.S. Cellular tower sites in Gage, Jefferson and Saline Counties were burglarized.
A 6-to-8 year prison term was recently handed to a Fairbury man, in the Gage County burglary case. Copper wiring had been cut and removed. Wires had also been cut and stolen from outside the building and several feet up on the tower. The initial loss estimate was $3,000.
