SCOTTSBLUFF, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) - Emergency officials say it will be a while before we know how much the recovery from last year's blizzard will cost.
Scottsbluff County saw anywhere from 12 to 18 inches of snow during the storm system that split the state down the middle with flooding in the east and heavy snowfall in the west.
Emergency management officials say Scottsbluff and Banner counties had a disaster declaration signed and Scottsbluff County has a presidential disaster declaration signed.
Region 22 Emergency Manager Tim Newman told the Scottsbluff Star-Herald that solid damage figures aren't in yet but early estimates are that recovery will cost the county at least $1.1 million.
