Police Investigating Attempted Abduction in Elmwood Park

OMAHA, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) - Omaha police are investigating a reported sexual assault and an abduction attempt at Elmwood Park this week.
The Omaha World-Herald reports the sexual assault happened about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The attempted abduction occurred at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. According to an alert sent by the nearby University of Nebraska at Omaha, the attempted abduction occurred in the grotto parking lot.
A woman said that while reaching into her vehicle, a man came up from behind and grabbed her by the arm, pulling her toward a white car. She was able to break free and escape in her own vehicle.
Police say they don't know if the two incidents are related.
