Student, Staff Honored Before Beatrice School Board

BEATRICE - The Beatrice Middle School staff and students have been honored by the Grand Lodge of Nebraska Masons for reviving a program aimed at student safety.
Scott Knispel of Beatrice Masons Lodge 26 says the award recognizes participation in the Childhood Identification Program the Grand Lodge operates.

Middle school administrators and staff were presented with the honor, Monday night.
Also honored at the Beatrice School Board's meeting was elementary student Jorja Boller, presented with the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Elementary Principal Kevin Janssen says Jorja demonstrates Orange Pride in the district, going out of the way to help others.

Beatrice High School Band Instructor Andrew Johnson honored Darren Lojo, the Beatrice Middle School Band Instructor, with a Nebraska Bandmasters honor….one of seven band directors to receive the award in the state.
Lillian Czarnick, at the Beatrice Middle School, was honored as the Special Education Para Educator of the Year.
