CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State triple jumpers Chayton Bynes and Camila Salvucci swept the RMAC Men's and Women's Field Athletes of the Week awards, as announced on Wednesday by the conference office.

Both athletes won the triple jump event at the Wildcat Invite hosted by Wayne State last Saturday, and both set facility records with their marks.

Bynes jumped 16.01 meters (52 feet, 6.5 inches), shattering a school record by 10 inches and jumping up to the No. 1 mark this season in all of Division II. Bynes was also victorious at the Wayne State meet by over seven feet. Bynes's mark would rank 18th in the nation at the Division I level.

Salvucci jumped a season-best 11.93 meters (39 feet, 1.75 inches) to win the women's event. Her mark is the second-farthest leap in the RMAC this season and just outside the Top 25 of Division II, and it is the only mark in the RMAC's top five to come since the month of December. Salvucci's jump was four inches shy of a career-best and less than a foot off Emily Volkmer's school record.

This is the first RMAC weekly awards of the season for Chadron State indoor track and field. Coincidentally, the most recent CSC track athletes to win were Bynes and Salvucci, who swept the conference honors previously on January 23, 2025.

Tim Thompson of Colorado School of Mines was named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week while UCCS's Krissie Sanders won the Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor.
The Eagles will be in action next at the SDSU Indoor Classic on Friday and Saturday.
