SIDNEY, Neb. — The dates are set and artists will be unveiled for the 2026 Downtown Sounds summer concert series on Monday morning.

The full artist announcement will be made at 8:40 a.m. Monday on 987 The Big Boy, featuring another season of free live music in downtown Sidney. This year’s Downtown Sounds concerts are scheduled for June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21 in Hickory Street Square.

Downtown Sounds has grown into a signature community event, drawing residents and visitors downtown for live music, food, drinks and a relaxed summer atmosphere. Last summer’s series expanded to three acts across three shows and featured artists from across Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa, including performers with national television exposure and strong regional followings.

Organizers say community involvement remains a key part of the event’s success. Vendor, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are now available for the 2026 season. Businesses, organizations and individuals interested in being part of Downtown Sounds can call 308-254-5803 or email [email protected] for more information.

Admission to all Downtown Sounds concerts will again be free. Gates, food and beverage service will open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m. on each concert date.

The complete 2026 artist lineup will be announced Monday morning on 987 The Big Boy.
