Sidney man scheduled for December 29 Preliminary Hearing
SIDNEY -- The Preliminary Trial for Sterling Crockett is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. December 29 in Cheyenne County Court.
Crockett, 25, of Sidney, is facing charges of First-Degree False Imprisonment (Class 3A felony), Terroristic Threats (Class 3A Felony) and DV Third Degree Assault /Threat/Bodily Injury /Sub/Preg amended to DV Assault-Third/Cause Bodily Injury (Class 1 Misdemeanor)
According to the arrest affidavit, Sidney Police responded to a report of threats in the 1200 block of Forrest Street at 6:19 p.m. December 9. Crockett is accused of threatening his wife and her friend at her apartment.
Crocket was met at his address where he was taken into custody without incident by police officers and a Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Deputy.
His arraignment was held December 10 with bond set at $50,000 10 percent. He is in custody in Cheyenne County Jail.
