BEATRICE, Neb. - A passenger was arrested on a drug charge and an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop at the Beatrice McDonald's early Sunday morning.

Beatrice Police say officers observed open alcohol containers in the vehicle while investigating the driver for DUI. The passenger, identified as Terra Schultz, told officers she had an active warrant out of Lancaster County.

After the warrant was confirmed, Schultz was transported to the Gage County Correctional Center. In further searches, officers found two white, crystal-like substances on the passenger seat. The substances field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Schultz was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and the outstanding warrant.

A DUI arrest was also conducted during the stop.
