Jefferson County Launches 2025 “Stuff the Cruiser” Christmas Gift Drive

FAIRBURY, Neb. — Jefferson County law enforcement and volunteers will again team up this December for the annual “Stuff the Cruiser/Vehicle” Christmas drive, collecting gifts for children across the county.
Organizers will be stationed outside the Fairbury Walmart on multiple dates, encouraging shoppers to help fill a cruiser with new, unwrapped gifts for local kids ages 0 to 18. All donations stay within Jefferson County.
Collections will take place:

Friday, Dec. 5 — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 6 — 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 13 — 1 to 4 p.m.
Requested items include baby and infant toys, age-appropriate children’s toys, stuffed animals, Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, board games, footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, Legos, remote-control toys, art supplies and blankets. Teen gifts such as body sprays, deodorant, lotions, nail art sets, nail polish, clothing accessories, DVDs, Bluetooth earbuds and wireless headphones are also encouraged.
The annual Gift Giveaway and Shopping Event is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 15, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds 4-H Building. Families who participate will be able to choose gifts for children in their household.
