Hastings resident Eldon D. Bierman, 82, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at

Good Samaritan Society – Beatrice, NE.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain Lisa Ewald officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Nebraska Veterans Cemetery, Grand Island, NE. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to Start Over Rover. Eldon was born on August 8, 1943, in Hastings, NE, to Clayton & Charlotte (True) Bierman. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1961 and attended Milford Campus of Southeast Community College in Milford, NE. Eldon married Nancy Brown on January 1, 2000, in Kingman, AZ. Eldon was a truck driver. He served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of American Legion, DAV, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Eagles. Eldon loved watching Nebraska Football, College Volleyball, NASCAR Races, and tinkering with his tools.

 

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rodney and Orin Bierman.
