KEARNEY, Neb. - Adults 21 and older will be getting new options to choose from later this year with two businesses taking the next step in becoming south Kearney's newest additions.

Kinkaider brewing company and Sip and Swirl wine room getting a letter of no recommendation at Tuesday's city council meeting, which means the city is passing the application to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission without a specific endorsement.

City officials say this is common practice for Kearney and they expect the liquor commission to approve the licenses.

The businesses will share a roof, but will be in different suites in the new Younes Landing development.

The multipurpose district is across the street from the Kearney Welcome Center just outside the city's newly-minted Good Life District.
