One injured in multi-car accident outside of Kearney Catholic High School
KEARNEY, Neb. - One person is seriously injured after a crash occurred outside of a Central Nebraska school.
A chaotic scene unfolded in front of Kearney Catholic High School Tuesday as a driver suffered a medical episode and hit 14 parked cars while driving at a high rate of speed, according to Kearney Police.
Multiple cars needed to be towed away from the scene, and a street-sweeper was called in to help clean up the area from the large amount of debris left behind.
KPD said the driver was transported to CHI Good Samaritan by rescue squad with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported, and more details will be provided as they become available.
The crash happened around 11:25 a.m. on East 35th St. between Avenue A and Avenue B in Kearney.
