Kearney Downs Lexington in Shootout to win Central Nebraska Tournament Cup
KEARNEY, Neb. — The Kearney boys won the inaugural Central Nebraska Tournament in dramatic fashion.
The Bearcats defeated Lexington 2-1 following a shootout in which sophomore goalie Hayden Schwartz made two saves.

KEARNEY, Neb. — The Kearney boys won the inaugural Central Nebraska Tournament in dramatic fashion.
The Bearcats defeated Lexington 2-1 following a shootout in which sophomore goalie Hayden Schwartz made two saves.
Kayden Slaymaker opened the scoring for Kearney in the 5th minute before Lexington's Edin Lima Miranda equalized in the 25th minute.
The match remained scoreless the rest of the way, leading to the shootout that Kearney came out on top of 4-3, giving the Bearcats the 2-1 victory.
