HASTINGS, Neb. – The city of Hastings saw its second major snowfall of the year that caused cancellations across the city.

As of noon Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Hastings reports 3.9 inches of snow fell from late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

The cold temperatures and the snowfall led to the cancellations of all Hastings grade schools, giving kids the day off.

The Hastings Streets Department remains busy clearing off arterial roads, followed by neighborhood roads.

You can see where city snowplows have recently been on the city's website.

The Nebraska 511 website shows that most roads in, out, and around the city are still partially covered on their road reports map.

Hastings remains in a snow emergency until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. No vehicles are allowed to be parked on snow routes until then.
