As Brian Yeakey’s new article covers, some of the most common and necessary minerals—which people consider to be the building blocks of good health—have very poor bioavailability. This includes iron, which ranges from less than 1% to 30% absorption rate, and zinc, which ranges from 10% to 50% absorbability.
