MADISON, Neb. -- The trial of the wife of the man convicted of a quadruple homicide in northeast Nebraska is moving to a new location.

According to court documents, District Court Judge Bryan Meismer has approved moving Carrie Jones' trial out of Cedar County.

Jones faces three felonies, including first-degree murder, related to the murder of Gene Twiford in Laurel.

She's also accused of aiding her husband, Jason, in three other murders that same day.

In his ruling, Meismer said pretrial publicity would make it impossible for Jones to receive a fair trial in Cedar County. He's ordered her trial moved to Madison County.

Jason Jones was tried in Dakota County, where he was found guilty.

An exact date hasn't been set, but Jones' counsel said in court documents they would be ready for a trial either next June or July.
