BEATRICE – Two people were killed in a Brown County, Kansas collision Friday morning, at the junction of U.S. Highway 75 and Kansas Highway 20 in northeast Kansas. 

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the victims were in a pickup that was struck broadside by a truck that drove through a stop sign.

The 2019 Ford F-150 pickup was southbound on U.S. 75 when it was struck broadside by a 2016 Freightliner westbound on Kansas 20, that failed to stop at a sign.

The driver and passenger in the pickup were killed.  They were identified as 64-year-old David Provorse and 62-year-old Marcia Provorse, both of Topeka, Kansas.  

The truck driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries.   They were identified as the driver, 26-year-old Edward Bullmaster of St. Joseph, Missouri….and passenger, 36-year-old Clay Lutz, of Rushville, Missouri.  Both were taken to Sabetha Community Hospital.

The collision occurred just after eight a.m., on Friday.
