GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - A fundraising event in Grand Island raised a large amount of money to support public schools.
According to a news release, The Grand Island Public Schools Foundation raised over $138,000 during its third annual fundraising Harvest event
The event featured dinner, silent auction, live auction, dessert dash and a guest speaker at Riverside Golf Club in September.

Over three decades, the foundation has helped fund different programs like classroom grants, teacher of the year scholarships, and Legacy grants. In 2023-2024 alone, the foundation invested over $1.4 million in these initiatives.
