Four people die in early-morning crash in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Four people have died following a single-vehicle crash in Grand Island.
It happened about 15 minutes after midnight on Sunday morning at the intersection of S. Locust St. and Stagecoach. Police say the vehicle was speeding north on Locust when it crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a tree on the side of the road. One person was ejected from the vehicle and three were trapped inside. All four died at the scene.
A news release identified the victims as:
· Daniel White Face – 23 years old – Gordon, NE
· Atreya Thorsen – 19 years old – Gordon, NE
· Juan Ramos – 22 years old – Grand Island, NE
· Alexander Ramos American Horse – 18 years old – Grand Island, NE
The investigation remains ongoing with members of the GIPD Accident Reconstruction Team working to reconstruct the accident and to help identify the driver of the vehicle.
