GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - - A central Nebraska firefighter is under arrest after police found out he sent inappropriate messages to an underage girl.
 
According to the Hall County Sherriff’s Office, deputies responded on August 17th to an address within Grand Island city limits in reference of a possible sex offense. During the investigation, officials found evidence that 47-year-old Jared Stockwell had been sending indecent, lewd, lascivious and obscene messages that were sexual in nature to a 13-year-old girl.
 
A warrant for Stockwell’s arrest was issued early Wednesday and was arrested at 11:17 a.m.
 
He is charged with enticement by electronic communication device and child abuse. 
 
The Hall County Sherriff’s Office has asked courts to seal the affidavits since it involves a juvenile. 
 
The investigation is ongoing.
