A crop duster plane is a total loss after it crashed in Central Nebraska.

OVERTON, Neb.- - A crop duster plane is a total loss after it crashed in Central Nebraska.
 
According to a news release by the Dawson County Sherriff’s Office, their communications center received an iPhone crash indication about nine miles north of Overton at 4:11 p.m. 
 
When officials arrived, they noticed a crop duster plane had hit the power lines and crashed. At the scene, deputies identified the pilot as 23-year-old Christian Timm of Eustis and was taken to a local hospital. 
 
The release says that when he crashed, Timm was applying chemical to a field for Johnson Lake Flying Service. His landing gear struck an electrical wire, which pulled him down. 
 
The sheriff's office says the plane is a total loss.
