HASTINGS, Neb. — Reggie Thomas’s historic season with the Hastings College men’s basketball team continues to yield accolades.

The NAIA picked Thomas as one of 12 players on its first-team All-American list. He is the first Bronco to earn first-team All-American honors.

The recognition comes after Thomas won the GPAC player of the year award and guided Hastings College to its first national tournament appearance since 2010. Thomas 24.1 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting an incredible 51% from the field. His points average ranked him third in the country heading into the national tournament.

The Omaha native led the Broncos in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals and set the single-season scoring record with 770 points. Hastings College finished 23-9 and won its first GPAC tournament title on the strength of a 32-point effort from Thomas in the championship game.

Thomas announced last week that he intends to transfer to an NCAA school for his two remaining seasons of eligibility.
