DONIPHAN, Neb. – The Two teams fighting for the Class C1-9 subdistrict championship in Central Nebraska tonight have a combined record of 39-6 after Tuesday's contests, but the loser tonight may be done for the season.

These two teams were supposed to meet in the regular season, but that game was cancelled during the cold snap back last month.

Doniphan Trumbull is the one-seed and features tough defense, and an offense that shoots about 50% from the floor.

They rely on the trio of Jack Poppe, Jaden Williams, and Parker Volk for most of their production.

The Cardinals are looking to return to state after being a first round exit last year

Adams Central is much improved after finishing last year with a 12-12 record.

They’re led by a 6'8 Freshman Hunter Nepple, who has crazy shooting range for a freshman, and averages 15 points per game to go along with an experienced roster of seniors who are very quick on the floor.

The winner of the game will advance to a district final either Saturday, Monday, or Tuesday. If Doniphan Trumbull loses they can still get a wildcard berth if teams in front of them in the class C1 standings win, but Adams Central is out with a loss no matter what.
