Weeping Water Takes Two Over H-TR-S in Defensive Battles
WEEPING WATER, NE - Weeping Water notched a doubleheader sweep of Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on Saturday. The hosts won the girls' game, 33-23, and they followed that up with a narrow 36-33 win in the guys' contest.
In the first game, the Titans' girls shot just 22% and were 1/2 from the free throw line in a 33-23 loss to WW. Elie Bstandig led HTRS with nine points, while Kalison Miller hit for 15 points on the Weeping Water side. The Indians were just 3/10 at the charity stripe.
On the guys' side, Weeping Water squeaked out a 36-33 win. WW was led by the eleven points of Riggs Wilson, including nine after halftime. The team hit 11/19 at the FT line, while HTRS was just 3/4 there. The Titans got 14 points from Brogan Dunlap, while Hunter Bohling contributed eight points to go with nine rebounds and five steals. HTRS shot just 23% overall & they went 2/17 from three-point land.
The Weeping Water ladies host Conestoga on Thursday, and they have a DH on Friday against Omaha Christian Academy. Next up for HTRS is a home DH v. Lewiston on Tuesday, December 5.
