Scrutinized Hastings Man arrested for illegal credit card use
HASTINGS, Neb. -- A Hastings Man under scrutiny for allegedly engaging in child enticement acts, is under arrest for separate charges.
On Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a call from a house near West 10th street from a person who had their credit card information used without permission, which prompted an argument.
Police say they contacted 23-year-old Christopher Carey at the house. Carey is related to the victim.
Authorities say Carey didn't comply with officers' orders and became aggressive. Responding officers used a TASER weapon to subdue him and arrested him.
Carey was arrested for illegally using a credit card between the amounts of $500 and $1,500, which is a Class 1 Misdemeanor, and obstructing an officer.
He was booked into the into Adams County Jail, but has since been released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
