Kearney man facing federal child porn charges

KEARNEY, Neb. -- A Kearney man is behind bars facing federal child pornography charges.
Kearney Police say officers worked with the FBI to arrest 26-year-old Tucker Harders on Tuesday. Authorities booked him into the Hall County Jail on charges of possession and distribution of child porn.
According to a three-count indictment filed last week in federal court, Harders distributed child porn from July 2022 through January 2023. The indictment alleges that at least one image or video in his possession on May 25 of this year featured a minor who was under the age of 12.
Buffalo County District Court records show that Kearney Police were granted search warrants for Harders’ phones, computers and other technology on June 2 and July 27. The affidavit in support of the warrants says the investigation comes from a pair of tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tips said two photos were uploaded to Discord, a social media app that allows users to participate in groups according to their interests. The tips said each photo showed a nude girl under the age of 11 in a sexual position.
Harders made his initial appearance in federal court on Wednesday.
