GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The newly renovated CHI St. Francis Emergency Department in Grand Island will be open to the public soon.

According to a news release, the $13 million renovated Emergency Department at CHI Health St. Francis will open its doors to the public on Tuesday at 4:00 a.m. 

Officials said those seeking walk-in emergency care should use the ED’s reopened entry point, entrance G, which is located on the north side of St. Francis. 

The new facilities include advanced technology, added security, and a 26-bed emergency room that has additional infection prevention features.
