GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Hall County is encouraging its residents and business owners to participate in the county comprehensive plan.

Hall County officials want the public’s input on what they want the county to look like over the next 20 years.

A public meeting will be held at the Wood River Community Center on Thursday, Sept. 14. The planning team will give a brief presentation and will be available to answer questions.

Consultant Keith Marvin said it's a great opportunity for planners to hear from residents.

“The Hall County Comprehensive Plan covers growth and development in rural areas outside of the cities and villages,” Marvin said. "This is an opportunity for residents to have their voice heard."

Officials are encouraging the public to share opinions through online crowdsourcing, crowdsource mapping, and crowdsource photography.

Hard copies of a survey are available at the Hall County Regional Planning Commission Office at City Hall. The survey will remain open through August and September and can be accessed here.
