GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The owner of Grand Island headstone company Monument Advisors is now in custody.

According to Grand Island Police, authorities in Missouri arrested 45-year-old Kelli Lepler on Thursday. The arrest happened around 3:15 p.m. in Wentzville, which is near St. Louis. Lepler will now go through an out-of-state extradition process.

A Hall County judge issued an arrest warrant for Lepler on July 3 after the county attorney charged her with 43 counts of theft.

Police had received 68 reports of people paying Monument Advisors and not receiving a headstone in return. Lepler wasn't charged in the other 25 cases because investigators found that she had made progress on the orders.

According to reports, Lepler had received a total of $258,404.38 from the 43 victims.

Police said they will not provide any more information until the extradition process has taken place.
