Federal officials are investigating a plane crash in central Nebraska.

BOELUS, Neb. -- Federal officials are investigating a plane crash in central Nebraska.
It happened Tuesday night in a field northwest of Boelus in Howard County.
FAA officials said the single-engine Cirrus SR-22, registered to a man out of Grand Island went down.
A crash report said the pilot deployed a parachute and the plane suffered substantial damage.
There's been no word on the extent of the injuries to the pilot.
