GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A central Nebraska school district is letting go of a middle school teacher who is facing multiple counts of sexual assault.
Grand Island's Board of Education, on Tuesday, voted to end the contract of Financial Literacy Instructor Philip Zlomke.
The 40-year-old faces seven different counts of sexual assault related to incidents that police said happened to children over the course of four years.
Zlomke has maintained his innocence and showed up to Tuesday's hearing to cross-examine witnesses brought against him.
He's scheduled for trail in August.
