MERRICK COUNTY, Neb. -- Two people are in the hospital following a single-car accident in central Nebraska. 

According to the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an accident in Bader Park Road, just south of Bader Parks, on Sunday. 

The investigation concluded that a vehicle was traveling northbound on Bader Park Road, just a few miles south of Chapman, when it entered a ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its top. 

The Sheriff’s Office said the driver was trapped in the vehicle when first responders arrived, but the passenger had exited the vehicle. 

Both were transported to a local hospital. 

Chapman Fire Department, Central City Fire Department, Central City Ambulance, and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the call.
