Kearney man arrested on child porn charges after multi-state investigation
KEARNEY, Neb. — A Kearney man is behind bars after an investigation involving federal and out-of-state agencies.
The Nebraska State Patrol says its tech crimes unit partnered with Homeland Security Investigations, the Kearney Police Department and a county constables office out of Texas on a child exploitation investigation. The Texas authorities started the investigation and identified 33-year-old Nicholas Kitzing of Kearney as a suspect.
The Nebraska State Patrol says it performed a search warrant at a house in the 800 block of D Avenue in Kearney on Tuesday morning. Troopers arrested Kitzing on four Texas arrest warrants for possession with intent to promote child pornography.
Kitzing is lodged in the Buffalo County Jail and the investigation is ongoing.
