GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Police say a man was arrested after breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s house, and threatening her and her children. 

According to the Grand Island Police Department, they were called around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 400 block of E 13th St. 

The GIPD said Erick Vicente-Vicente had broken open the garage to his ex-girlfriend's house and had entered the residence. 

Authorities said that Vicente-Vicente had forced his ex-girlfriend to unlock the bathroom where she had been hiding with three kids, after she had called 911. 

GIPD said Vicente-Vicente ordered her to get clothes for her and the children because he was taking them to his house. 

After police arrived, Vicente-Vicente refused to comply with orders and resisted arrest.

He was taken into custody and charged with burglary, four counts of attempted kidnapping, three counts of intentional child abuse without injury, resisting arrest, obstruction, assault menacing threats and theft.
