An unidentified male suspect is being investigated after police say he entered a home and pointed a handgun. 

The INCIDENT WAS CALLED IN AROUND 12:30 P.M. weDNESDAY IN THE 2200 BLOCK OF WEST 10TH STREET.

According to the victim, the man entered his residence claiming to be checking for gas leaks. The man then pointed a handgun at him, took $50 in cash and left. 

As of Thursday afternoon, police are still investigating but think there might be a link between the suspect and the victim. 

Police say the suspect is a male between 40 and 50 years old. There’s only one incident reported of this kind at the time. 

The case is still open. Police are warning the public to be careful and practice caution.
