GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Two people were injured in a crash Tuesday at a busy intersection in Grand Island.

Grand Island Fire was called out to a two-vehicle crash at Highway 281 and Old Potash Highway around 11:36 a.m.

Details regarding the cause of the crash have yet to be release, but we do know that there was significant damage done to both vehicles.

GIFD Battalion Chief Ed Carlin said they transported two people to CHI Health St. Francis with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

Local4 spoke with Lance Clark who said his aunt was one of the victims in the crash. Her dog, Macey, was in the vehicle at the time of the crash and according to witnesses was said to have ran with it possibly last seen near NDOT building.

The dog is microchipped and tagged. After sharing on social media, Clark let us know that someone had found her.
