GILTNER, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Wednesday afternoon resulting in the finding of several pounds of marijuana.

NSP Troopers said they arrested two people after finding more than 100 lbs. of marijuana in the traffic stop. 

Officials said around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, a trooper saw a Nissan Maxima fail to signal on I-80 near Giltner. 

It was reported that during the traffic stop, an NSP K-9 detected the presence of a controlled substance inside the vehicle. 

NSP said a search of the vehicle revealed 100 lbs. of marijuana. 

Authorities identified the driver as 27-year-old Chao Lee and the passenger as 30-year-old Kou Yang both of Wisconsin.

Both Lee and Yang were arrested for possession of marijuana - more than a pound, delivery of a controlled substance, and no drug tax stamp. 

They were lodged in the Hamilton County Jail.
