CAMPBELL, Neb. -- Authorities in south-central Nebraska said five people are in the hospital after a car accident. 
 
The Webster County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened on highway 4 east of Campbell on Tuesday.
 
The Sheriff's Office said the lead car was hit from the rear, which caused one person to be ejected from their car. 
 
Authorities said the first car then spun out of control before colliding with a third vehicle. 
 
In total, five people were taken to a hospital and their statuses remain unknown. 
 
The crash is still under investigation.
