HASTINGS, Neb. -- Just hours after severe weather struck overnight, more arrived in the region Monday morning, with high winds and hail damage striking much of Nebraska.

Several central and northern Nebraska counties were placed in severe thunderstorm warnings Monday morning, which followed Sunday night storms for many of the areas. The storms also drifted into southeast Nebraska Monday night, while the western half's storms were mostly confined to Sunday.

Several communities were also placed into tornado warnings.

Conditions included 60 mph wind gusts and hail ranging in size from ping-pong-ball-sized to softball-sized.
