LEXINGTON, NE — Two adults are in jail and two children are in protective care following a Sunday traffic stop.

The Nebraska State Patrol says it received a report of a reckless car on Interstate-80 early Sunday morning. A trooper stopped the car near Lexington and thought the driver was impaired. Troopers searched the car and found meth inside.

Dezjia Davis, 33, and Taylor Davis, 27, both of Fernley, Nevada, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, child abuse – no injury, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dezjia Davis was also arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and improper child restraint. Both are lodged in the Dawson County Jail.

The State Patrol says two young children were in the vehicle. They are now in protective care.
