Colorado man accused of stealing from Lexington Walmart, intent to deliver meth
LEXINGTON, NE — Authorities say a shoplifting incident led to a drug arrest over the weekend.
The Nebraska State Patrol started investigating a shoplifting report from the Walmart in Lexington around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. Shortly after, a trooper found a Toyota Prius thought to be involved with the theft. The trooper searched the car, finding numerous stolen items and meth.
41-year-old Brett Avila of Glendale, Colorado was booked in the Lincoln County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, and theft by receiving stolen property.
