PALMER, Neb. -- A Palmer home was destroyed in a fire early Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the scene in the 900 block on Rollins Street at approximately 5 a.m.

According to the Merrick County Sheriff's Office, crews from Palmer, Central City and St. Paul responded to the blaze.

The Nebraska Fire Marshal's Office investigated the fire, stating that the cause was electrical.

The Red Cross is currently assisting the family. No one was injured in the fire.

More than $2,000 has been raised for the family through a GoFundMe page.
